A long time ago, someone had the idea to build an elevator to serve the Soo Line, and to be a “rival” to nearby Lignite, North Dakota. A small settlement sprang up, but within a few decades, the settlement known as Rival, North Dakota had failed and left this place a ghost town. This elevator is the only standing remnant of Rival, North Dakota.
This fine art print represents the Rival, North Dakota elevator as photographed in July of 2016. It is available in a variety of sizes as an aluminum print, gallery wrap fine art canvas (shown above as a 20×30), and museum quality fine art paper. Got something else in mind?
